Our main projects at the present time are the building and furnishing of the skills centre, building links between the schools and churches, and the training of the market ladies, a group of women who are being trained in how to run a business and maintain financial security. We need paper, pens, educational posters, exercise books, sticky gum for wall hangings, football kit, sports equipment and financial help to send it out. It costs about £180 to ship a cubic metre so any donations for shipping costs are always welcome. If you can help in ANY way please contact the Chair or Treasurer.
Gold prices are high so by donating any unwanted Gold we can use the money to fund our ever expanding projects. To donate please come along to ANY of our events and place items in the collecting box. DO YOU PAY TAXES? Maybe you or your accountant fill out your tax form annually. Do you sometimes get a refund which is not worth a great deal to you? OUR CHARITY EVENTS We hold a number of events throughout the year, so keep an eye out for the publicity, come along and join in the fun!! We've had a skills day, barn dance, music concerts, musical extravaganza's, plays, fashion shows, talks..... We advertise in Olney, the local press as well as here on the web site so keep looking!
We are selling throughout the year blank cards ready for your own personal message. The cards feature pictures taken in and around Newton, and are selling from the treasurer or chair. You can see the designs on the Home page.
